Dimo Ivancev Hadi-Dimov was born in the village of Gorno
Brodi, Ser, on 2 October 1875, and later killed in Sophia on 13 September
1924. He was idealist of the Macedonian National-Freedom Movement, a national
tribune, socialist, and a close collaborator with Goce Delcev and Jane
Sandanski.
With excellent success in 1894, he finished Pedagogical
University in Kustendil. After that he continued with his studies at the
University of Sophia, but because of his political ideas he was expelled
from the University, and after 10 years he then became a teacher in Dupnica,
and other places.
He was an outstanding member of TMORO (Tajna Makedonska
Ordinska Revolucionerna Organizacija) / (The Secret Macedonian Ordin Revolutionery
Organisation). In February 1903, he became a fighter for a squad in the
Malesevo region, and then in the Ser region. He participated in the battle
at the village Banica, Ser, on 4 May 1903 when Goce Delcev died.
After the young Turkish Revolution (Mladoturskata Revolucija)
in 1908, he went to Solun, where he collaborated with Jane Sandanski. He
was a member of the National Federative Party, an ideologist, and editor
of the newspaper "Konstituciona Zaria", which was published in Solun in
1909-1910.
After the Balkan War and the First World War, he was
a leader of the Macedonian progressive emigrant movement in Bulgaria. Together
with Gorce Petrov, Nikola Puskov and other Macedonian revolutionists, they
formed the temporary representation of the formed VMORO.
He was killed on a street in Sophia by the terrorist
Velicko Georgiev (Vlado Cernozenski) on 13.09.1924.
He was the author of the book "Back Towards Autonomy"
(Nazad Kon Avtonimijata) and many articles.
