A man went to the forest to chop down some trees. After he
gathered enough tree branches he headed towards the city to sell them.
The tree branches were very long and that is why he from time to time called
out loudly:
- Look out! Look out!!
The arrogant man who in that instance was crossing the
street did not want to move aside. The tree branches caught his clothes
and ripped them. The arrogant man got angry and took the man to court to
pay for his clothes.
When they appeared in front of the judge he asked them
a few times to explain how it happened, but the woodchopher did not say
a word.
Then the judge said to the arrogant man:
Why did you bring me this mute man? How am I going to
communicate with him if he can not hear nor speak?
- He is not mute honourable judge, he just pretends!
- How do you know that he is not mute, asked the judge.
Well..... when he was carrying the trees, he screamed
loudly:
- Look out! Look out!!
OK then. If he was calling out why didn't you get out
of the way said the judge to the arrogant man and released the man with
the tree branches.
