Galicnik is found at an altitude of 120
above sea level, and is around 10 km from Mavrovo. In the Mavrovo vicinity
there are several mountain villages of which the biggest one is Galicnik.
These villages use to be the homes of migrant workers, while now they
are attractive tourist places whose beauty draws attention. Galicnik is
a picturesque places on Mt. Bistra. Particularly interesting are the summer
mountain pastures on Mt. Bistra, where the shepherds make the well known
hard cheese "Galicki Kaskaval" (cheese from Galicnik) during the
summer. Every summer it is held a so called "Galicka svadba" (Galicnik
