Orce
Nikolov was born 7 January 1916 in Skopje. His life and work are unbreakably
connected with the organising and firming of the syndical movement in Macedonia,
and with the battle for the pureing Labour movement from opportunity and
sector elements. Under his leadership in Macedonia, the first protests
were undertaken, and the workers succeed for the first time to conclude
collective contracts with the employers. In August 1940, Orce Nikolov was
arrested on account of the break-up of the 1st of May proclamation of CK
KPJ, and the organising of the Ilinden celebration. He was taken to Great
Kikinda, where in prison he organised a protest. Then in Lepoglava, he
was sentenced for two years in a strict prison and is transferred to the
prison in Sremska Mitrovica. On the 5th earthy meeting is chosen as a candidate
for a member of CK KPJ. On 22 August 1941, he escapes from slavery and
was transferred in the supreme headquarters of NOPOJ in Uzice. He was given
a task to go to Macedonia and work on the organising of a Uprising. In
December 1941, he tries to achieve his task over the mountain of Kukavica,
but was unsuccessful. On the second attempt he dies near Vladicin Han on
4 January 1942, by a Bulgarian watch-house.
