BLAZE KONESKI is a famous Macedonian scholar who has worked through the norms of the Macedonian literary language that has been established. He was born in Prilep in 1921, and his work in this area includes the Grammar of the Macedonian language (two volumes), and the History of the Macedonian Language. He is also a well-known translator who has translated Shakespeare, Heine, Mickiewicz, and other authors. In his poetry one finds a poet who possesses strong and authentic sensibility, and who writes with strong autobiographical witnessing. His poetry is contained in the books "Earth and Love", "Poems", "The Embroidery Woman", "Poetry", "Sterna", and "Observations".
